So all that money I've been saving up to buy it was for nothing? :smt022

One of our bigger projects this year:

This MX-5 ND G184 gets a full engine swap to a 3.7L V6 LFX Camaro engine with transmission. And we use the car to develop a safety rollbar for the MX-5 ND, also to attache 4-point-harnesses.

OMG... :)

To me, V6 mods for MX5 seem to be ideal, so - six thumbs up.

This is a really nice equipped MX-5 NC 2.0L. The car got some Recaro Pole Position mounted on our new developed seat brackets in combination with our new roll bar for the MX-5 NC and a 4-point harness. The car also got our SPS coilover setup, H&R anti-roll-bars, 17" OZ Ultraleggeras with Nankang NS-2R, a CarbonMiata Ducktail and a CAE Ultra Shifter.

Beautiful, my CAE shifter is in the garage, but I need to return it back because NC1 shifter ball is different than NC2-3. They will fabricate new one for me. I' m looking forward seeing how it works. And those Recaros are also piac of art.

Question. This Recaro are not road legal? Airbags? Car is track only?

Keep posting Guido, we love your stuff.

Hi agolac,

thank You for Your kind words.

Interesting, that the shifter doesn't fit a NC1 transmission. We didn't know that as well.
The Recaro Pole Position are street legal because the car has been approved by the TÜV and the seat airbags are also removed in the car papers.
This is possible in Germany for the NC and for the ND (NA and NB/FL as well of course) with the stock harness or 4-point harness with e-approval like these on the pictures. But it is not possible to change the steering wheel to "non-airbag-versions" in a street legal way for NC and ND. This is just possible for NA and NB.

I also have some new stuff for You about the blue NC turbo monster. We made some progress meanwhile:

And this is a dyno sheet with 1.4bar/20.3psi. The power is at the flywheel. The car produces more than 420hp and 500Nm.

Edit: I see my red RX-8 in the background on the 2nd picture. :D
