I give up on buying wheels and tires for winter and summer. I think I'll buy a set of all purpose tires and just keep them all year long. Because switching is expensive every time. And some guy wanted to sell me this set for 3000 kn!!!

Then he said just the RIMS cost 100 Euro everywhere and I sent him this:

How can prices be 4x more in Croatia and pay is 4x less? That means things are 16x more expensive for normal people?
I got stuck in Croatia and can't leave. Not married. Just can't earn enough to get out of here and start a life somewhere else and I don't want to be homeless again.

Yeopazman, thing is that state is too expensive (bureaucracy is huge and inefficient), consequence is high tax in general so unfortunately it stays too low sum for ordinary people (doctors, engineers, sellers or any other workers).
Usually prices in stores (particular offers on njuskalo I do not count, people are trying to pull out as much money as possible) are plus or minus similar like anywhere else in Europe, only salaries are much lower.
It's sad to hear you got stuck here but I can understand how you are feeling yourself. I hope you will succeed to do something and pull yourself out from present situation.

And here I am, trying to move to London.. and he comes to Croatia.. why? why? why? I hope it was because of nice Croatian girl.
Joke aside, as I am also rebuilding my Miata, you need two things:
Irena Petir - automehanicar.hr
IlMotorsport / Zoom zoom auto for parts
Mechanical parts, new ones? You can get in Auto Kreso - they offer 20-30% discounts.
p.s. Yes Croatia is more expensive than UK, so everything is possible here. We have public sector as big as yours, but with only 4 milion residents.

I'm not from the UK. I'm from the US. I go now to Mazda Arbanas. It is SUPER expensive, but it's all Mazda all the time. Even Irena suggests Jurkovic? They know their stuff, but they're always angry and mean. Arbanas people are nice, amazing and will find parts for cheap.
Other than that, I came here for an affordable medical school that was Harvard Medical International with USMLE included. Then after 4 years, they dropped the Harvard program and left the foreigners stranded as even EU citizens couldn't do anything until Croatia joined the EU and they had right to license themselves. I was first generation and was jobless for 2 years (savings gone --> homeless for a few months). The others waited until 2013, then had rights, got licensed and left the country.
Since I'm not an EU citizen, I couldn't move out and owed 10,000 Euro + to survive in this country without a job and do do all the necessary paperwork. I did go to Malaysia to where my parents were, but they did not recognize Croatia as a country, thus not recognizing University of Zagreb as a valid university.
So I had to come back here and fight for licensing to work as a doctor finally in a country that is missing about 3000 doctors.
