Re: SPS Motorsport
#32This 10th-anniversary NB got in our workshop because on our last trackday in Anneau Du Rhin the timing belt got destroyed by some dirt of the track.
We supposed the valves also got broken because of other camshafts and higher compression, but luckily nothing else got broken.
It is a 1.8L bored to 2.0L with an ITB and very aggressive camshafts. On the dyno it produces 230 natural aspirated horsepower at 7800rpm.
Because of that power and a shorter final drive in combination with a 6-speed gearbox and a shortshifter it is really much fun to drive.
Specs:
- 1.8L BP bored to 2.0L with 85.5mm pistons
- Jenvey ITB
- Mishimoto X-Line radiator for Honda Civic
- Reverie RH carbon airbox with custom ram-air hose
- König K 5000 seats
- OZ Ultraleggera 15 inch

#34Hello Guido,
all of these cars are great. And some of them more than other ones.
But, how do you guys register these cars in Germany with all of these modifications?
At the other today's topic here it is reported that technicians for MOT here in Croatia are requesting certificates even for some plastic side skirts...

Re: SPS Motorsport
#35Your question is good. We have a big collection of documents for all the parts we sell and install.
To register the combination of some parts is also no problem if we look after the laws. Our professionals from the TUV know the limits and look after that. We are doing this for longer than 7 years so we have routine with this issues. We know exactly what is possible to register and what is not.

#36This is a supercharged NC from a good friend of the company. The car got a Rotrex C30/94 on its 2.0L installed producing 303hp and 314Nm.
Also the car got a nice look with it shiny rims and low coilover setup.
I think Kermit likes that.

#423 weeks ago we took part at the German TimeAttack Finals and the European TimeAttack at the Nürburgring. Our race cars performed well, but our red ND just got a little accident. Nevertheless we celebrated many victories in different classes. It was a great season ending!

Re: SPS Motorsport
#44Wow, some very nice details on this one....
Guido, from your experience, what about practicality of a car that has some 3 times more power than stock.
Are stock gearbox, diff and axles up to it?
With a turbo, can you crank it up cold and start to drive slowly, or it needs to sit with the engine running for some time?

Re: SPS Motorsport
#45Hi dboKlc,
we know which parts of the car break first if we add that much power and torque. But it is not the engine.
Gearbox (if it is 5-speed like in this car) and the differential are the weak points. The more You squeeze out the power and the more You use the car on track, the earlier gearbox or differential can brake.
The engine with its stronger internal parts is pretty reliable. It depends on the conversion You do.
Daily driving is no problem at all. You can use the car as every other standard turbocharged car. Just don't rev to high and don't give to much engine load when the oil is cold. When it's warm -> pedal to the metal.
But we recommend a thicker oil (we use 10W60 for turbocharged NA/NB/NC) and an installation of an oil cooler to keep the oil temperature in a safe area.
Also we recommend a better radiator, a stronger clutch (absolutely necessary for a conversion like this) and a wideband o2 sensor for the ECU.
If You have more questions just ask me.
Best regards
