Quality/trusted garage in Croatia

#1
Hi there!
I'm new to the forum. I live in Varaždin, unfortunately I don't speak Croatian.

I'm desparately looking for a trusted garage that can provide quality job on my NC.

I have dead A/C compressor that needs to be replaced. I was stupid enough to take my Miata for 5000 km road trip recently. At the end of it, after long drive thru the Alps I pulled up at gas station in Italy and the car was parked and running AC. After about 10 minutes I heard some scary metallic squeaking sound and saw the smoke from under the bonnet. Turned of the engine. Waited to cool down and started again without AC. When tried to turn on AC the clutch in compressor didn't engage and inner part of pulley (circled on the picture below) didn't rotate.

I continued to drive without AC and everything was OK. I went to Mazda garage and they confirmed my suspicion, the whole AC compressor needs to be replaced. New part costs 7400kn, I have no choice but to order it.

The problem is my Miata is modified: Rotrex supercharger and some other mods, therefore I don't want any random mechanic to touch my car.

Do you know any good garage (preferably specializing in Miatas and/or modified cars) that you can recommend? I don't care about the cost or location, I can drive around let's say 300km radius, be it Croatia, Slovenia or Austria. There is one condition though. I must be present during the job to make sure the supercharger and other parts will be handled properly. I'm OCD freak

I hope you can point me in the right direction. Thank you in advance for any help.

P.S. Do you have any meetings of Miata owners in Croatia? I would love to meet some people here that share the same passion.

Best regards,
Robert

ask our miataoldschool member, he also has OCD, tinkers with miatas (and other rustbuckets), but he's not "a shop" per se. although he is incorporating atm

By your Instagram I can see last meeting was in 2017? Any upcoming events for Miata owners or fans of 4 wheels?
